They Day She Discovered Her Ears and Made Cookies
Today Birdie discovered her ears. She was pulling and holding them when she was eating. It was really quite adorable.
Wouldn't it be wonderful, if we had memories of these tiny discoveries about ourselves? Or were able to verbalize them even at this young age?
We also make chocolate oatmeal cookies today. She sat in her little seat on the counter. I did most of the work, but it was fun to have her there. Someday she will be able to help out and definitely lick the spoons when we are done!

The Day Her Eyes Turned Brown
So I swear that Birdie's eyes turned brown yesterday. I have been watching to see when they would change. They have been grey for a while now, but yesterday, I saw some brown. Don't ask me how I knew they would change, cause I just knew. :)
I always wondered what color eyes and hair my little babies would have. I think we will have to wait some time before we get a glimpse of the hair color. She was born with some dark brown hair in the back, but that is slowly falling out. I didn't have hair until I was about three, so Birdie might be baldish for a while.

Stockings on the Mantle
A few years ago when I went shopping after Christmas at Hobby Lobby, I bought 6 matching snowflake stocking holders to put on the mantle. You see, M and I have always talking about having 4 children. So in order to have matching ones, I decided I would buy them since they had enough and they were on clearance. I felt kind of funny about it at the time, because we weren't even trying to have children, but my desire for symmetry got the best of me.
Now that Birdie has made her entrance into the world, we only have three more to go! :) I'm not sure how many the Lord will bless us with, but 4 still seems like a good number. I love having Birdie around and I love being able to spend time with her all day.
She will be 3 months tomorrow and a few weeks ago, I could and still do say that we would love to have more very soon. I don't think there will be four stockings on the mantle next year, but maybe in 2010!
